Drawing draws not the night nigh

Why didn't I draw with color pencils for more than twenty years I could not say. It was an obvious mistake as it is such a pleasing and efficient manner to refine thinking about new painting projects. I choose this technique for "Fiery World" that you may have seen already, and will follow on with future works from now on.

I enjoy a lot the way one can add layers upon layers of translucent colors, and progressively build shapes and tones. On the other hand it is also a good exercise of caution, because if you want the drawing to stay very clean you have to pay attention at any time. A very small piece of color dropped under you desk pad, and you squatched it on the paper while working? Not good, you will not be able to erase or cover it. Be more cautious next time. However the drawing here is clean and I hope you like it.
